Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between heat shrink and adhesive heat shrink?

Standard heatshrink is suitable for applications where the cable and connector will not be subject to harsh weather environments. When this is the case adhesive heatshrink can be used to eliminate the deterioration of the connection. Adhesive heatshrink has an internal coating of glue so that when heat is used to shrink down onto the connection the glue adheres to the joint and waterproofs the area. Therefore this application of adhesive heatshrink is great for all marine applications and any other conditions that may require this waterproofing specification.
